Evil Robot Cannon on the Loose!

The place is South Africa, the scene… pure carnage!
Its so often in our lives that we realize we are not good at things. We find that we need a little help. We decide that we need to swallow our pride. So we build an unmanned robotic laser guidence system on an anti aircraft gun and it ends up “accidentally” killing 9 people and wounding 14. Oops.
This is exactly what happened in Africa in October 2007. Durring a training exersize the gun jammed and the computer system freaked out firing uncontrolably and at random.  The issue at hand is not that it was unmanned at the time. The issue is that it is designed to not be manned ever. It targets and reloads on its own, it aims on its own, it fires at targets on its own. It is the perfect killing machine. Leave it in the middle of no where and put a plane or UAV in its way and it will blow it our of the sky without thinking twice. Or it will misfire in a training exorsize killing nine. You say tomatoe…
But lets ask the questing society always asks. Who is to blaim? You already know who I blame. Robots of course. But who made this robot? Doesn’t that person share in responsibility? If you give someone two shots of whiskey, give them your car keys and tell them the fastest way home at 3:15 p.m. is through the school zone are you not just as liable as the driver? Is that any different from loading an anti aircraft weapon with artilery, telling it that its job is to shoot things and than let it rip?
