The idea of the robot is fairly simple. They would take programmed traits of one robot and randomly combine traits from another. These would then be put into a robot that will be built by them and studied to see what traits the robot shows.
David Jefferson even states that he would like “Tens of thousands, or hundreds of thousands of robots.” HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF ROBOTS. By the time that they get that many robots who knows what would they would evolve to know. For example they could drive a car, or reproduce without the aid of humans (see “The Singularity”) or even ENSLAVE THE ENTIRE HUMAN RACE. This is where the look of terror should be hitting your face.
I urge you future scientists of America to take this article into account. I urge you to not waist your time on a robot farm. I urge you to spend that hard earned education developing hand held electro magnetic pulse gun so the humans can survive the singularity.
